My Favorite Book…

Happy Fourth of July Weekend, all! I’m set for a four-day weekend lakeside at a cabin and I can hardly wait to begin the adventure northward. A few weeks ago I asked for good book recommendations and got so many helpful responses—I am currently reading “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett and so far it is great!

In return for all of the fabulous literary suggestions I thought I’d return the favor by sharing one of my all time favorite books,“Pillars of the Earth” by Ken Follett. When suggesting this book to people I have always followed it up with “If you can get through the first 100 pages, you’ll love the remaining 900.” (and after you fall in love with those 973 pages, there’s the sequel, also great). Here’s hoping everyone has a weekend that allows for burying your nose in a book, laughing around a campfire, and soaking up rays next to a lake, Happy 4th!
