With recent features in both The New York Times and The Guardian, the blossoming content app Substack is having a moment. Perhaps you've heard about it and are curious what it is, how it works, and where it could fit into your online eco-system as a business owner, content creator, or aspiring writer!
Although I find Substack's interface to be really simple, beautiful, and intutiive --- getting mine set up felt really overwhelming! There was a lot to learn, and it was hard to wrap my head around how this platform differed from email marketing platforms like Flodesk or Mailchimp.
My goal with this workshop is to streamline the process and save you time! I'll summarize what took me a week to learn during the 30-minute webinar and demo, help you assess whether Substack is a right fit for your needs, and answer your questions.
I launched my Substack in July, and have reached $6,000 of annualized income. I have friends who are making $50-$100k only 3-6 months into their journey. Although Substack is not yet a significant revenue stream for me, it feels great to be getting paid for something I was creating for free for nearly four years! I feel validated in my work and more creative than I have in a long time.
